INTRODUCTION
As the operator of a facility subject to declaration with periodic inspection, you are subject to regulatory and technical environmental obligations that you must respect and ensure are respected. In order to provide proof of compliance with all these obligations, you must establish your regulatory and technical compliance.
How do you establish your regulatory and technical compliance?
Regulatory requirements can be divided into two categories: regulatory requirements and technical requirements. Purely regulatory requirements require you to carry out certain actions, such as periodic checks, atmospheric emission analyses by an approved body, or the filing of a classified installation file with the prefect.
Technical requirements are, by their very nature, regulatory requirements (derived from regulations) which include a technical aspect. They include, for example, construction requirements (chimney height, provision of access routes for emergency services, etc.).
Establishing your compliance with these regulatory and technical requirements involves a number of successive stages, which can be summarized as follows:
identify the requirements applicable to your activities and facilities ;
assessment of your regulatory and technical compliance ;
implementation of a corrective action plan.
