8. Accidentology and feedback
An important tool in defining the potential risks arising from the products and equipment used on your operating site is knowledge of accidents encountered on other sites with similar products and/or equipment.
Knowing the causes of failures already encountered on sites similar to yours, at certain levels, enables you to better analyze the potential hazards present on your own site, depending on its configuration.
For this purpose, the ARIA database (Analysis and Research of Information on Accidents) of the DPPR/SEI/BARPI of the French Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development provides access to lists of summarized presentations of a certain number of characteristic accidents.
