3. Inventory useful information about the chemicals used on your site

To be effective in understanding the hazards associated with its products, it is necessary to know and list all the products and substances used on the site (products used or generated by the activity, including waste), their respective quantities, where they are stored, where they are used, and the characteristics and hazards presented by these products and substances.

Important information to consider includes the following features:

  • Explosive limits (ATEX, LEL, UEL);

  • ignition temperature (flash point, auto-ignition point);

  • Risk phrases (R-phrases) and safety phrases (S-phrases).

It's a good idea to create a table containing all this information, as shown in the example below:
