Prefectoral decree

Administrative act concerning an enforceable decision (individual scope for ICPE), issued by the prefect and imposing the execution of prescriptions.

Operator

Natural or legal person responsible for the operation of a facility from its creation to its shutdown or transfer. It demonstrates that it complies with technical operating specifications and does not create irreversible consequences for the environment or safety.

Inspection

The inspectorate carries out environmental policing missions at industrial sites. Generally carried out by the DREAL, these missions are organized around three axes:
