9. Conclusion

The life of a classified facility does not end with compliance with the operating regulations (prefectoral authorization order, general registration and declaration regulations). The operator must remain "on the lookout" for regulatory changes, whether they come from the inspector of classified installations or the prefect (supplementary order, formal notice, administrative sanctions), from the central administration (nomenclature, ministerial orders on technical requirements), or from the local authority (urban planning document).

The operator must be as "transparent" as possible, informing the administrative authorities and even the surrounding community of accidents or incidents, changes in activity, the best available techniques used, pollutant emissions, changes of operator, etc.
