INTRODUCTION
Self-monitoring involves operators taking samples of wastewater or atmospheric effluent, or having them taken by an external company of their choice, and then analyzing the samples taken to check compliance with the limit values imposed by the prefectoral authorization order or the ministerial order of general requirements governing the operation of the facilities.
Operators set up self-monitoring systems, mainly for aqueous discharges, air emissions, waste production, groundwater, noise and odors.
