6. Special requirements

In most cases, the operator of a classified facility subject to declaration and periodic inspection is only required to comply with general regulations. However, in two cases, these general requirements may be supplemented by special requirements once the plant has been commissioned.

Special requirements apply specifically and individually to a facility, whereas general requirements apply to all facilities under the same nomenclature heading.

6.1 If environmental protection is not guaranteed

Interested third parties (environmental protection associations, neighbors, local authorities, etc.) who consider that environmental protection is not guaranteed by compliance with the general regulations may refer the matter to the prefect,...
