3. What are the rules for on-site storage?

Certain rules apply to waste storage:

  • Waste containers must be labeled, preferably with the waste nomenclature code (see Waste: drawing up an inventory [FIC 0784] ).

  • Hazardous waste may not be mixed with non-hazardous waste (e.g. aerosol cans with paper/cardboard).

  • Hazardous waste must not be mixed together (e.g. aerosol cans with soiled drums).

  • Hazardous liquid waste (oils, solvents, etc.) must be stored in watertight...
