1. Selection criteria

Setting up a treatment process for the production of drinking water always involves assembling, in a specific order, a number of traditional and/or advanced water treatment processes (or unit operations).

1.1 Resource quality

The choice of these processes is obviously guided first and foremost by the nature of the water to be treated and the desired flow rate. For this reason, the final process can only be chosen once as much analytical data on the resource as possible has been gathered.
