1. General design

The design of mobile cranes uses a variety of techniques and, for both economic and regulatory reasons, must take into account numerous regulations, standards and directives (see To find out more ).

Unless otherwise specified, mobile cranes are all about weight/performance.

  • They mainly comprise a chassis, a turret and a boom (figure 1 ).
