Overview
ABSTRACT
Compared with other techniques, gluing presents interesting characteristics for many bonding processes. It is however essential that glue interacts favorably with the two surfaces of a sometimes different nature (metals, glass, wood, textile). This article presents the mechanical and rheological characteristics of adhesives, the various processes in order to achieve a gluing that is time-resistant, as well as all the implementation phases. The carrying out of adherence tests and the factors impacting the resistance of gluing are also presented.

INTRODUCTION
In this article, we demonstrate the usefulness of bonding compared to other joining techniques, and highlight its specific features. Depending on the nature of the surfaces to be bonded, different treatments are presented to increase bond strength. The rheology of adhesives plays an important role in bond strength, as does its evolution during the bonding process. This effect is apparent both immediately after solidification and over time in different environments.
