6. Shock-proof suspension of a rigid object
The basic physics and general design of an anti-shock suspension do not differ in principle from those of an anti-vibration suspension; but there are at least two very specific points:
description of solicitations couple this time frequency and time aspects, and often has a significant more or less probabilistic ;
the information required is this time jointly the residual shock transmitted to the equipment (peak value of maximum acceleration) and the maximum suspension travel; the design must always find a compromise between these two parameters, while the choice of brackets is dictated primarily by the travel you wish to allow.
