5. Analytical monitoring

To limit health risks for employees and for technical and economic reasons, it is advisable to monitor various parameters during use. The INRS, a generalist organization in occupational health and safety, recommends monitoring the following, for example:

  • the pH according to the supplier's recommendations;

  • the concentration of the active ingredient according to the supplier's recommendations;

  • the nitrite content in the event of the actual or suspected presence of secondary amines. This must not exceed 20 mg/L. –1 ;

  • The microorganism content must not exceed 10 6 CFU/ml –1 . This technical criterion is defined...
