 INTRODUCTION

Summary

Energy is at the heart of many economic and environmental concerns. Intelligent energy management goes hand in hand with efficient storage systems. Current research focuses on improving current system performance. The field of supercapacitors is a perfect illustration of this, since the recent development of microporous carbons has significantly increased the autonomy of these systems, enabling them to be considered for transport applications.

Abstract

Energy is an important economic and environmental concern. A smart energy management is linked to an efficient storage system, thus the current research works are focused on the performance improvement of today's devices. Recently, the development of microporous carbons leads to a sharp increase of ultracapacitor energy density making them suitable for transportation applications.
