4. Relying on a technical solution: setting up a BMS
Building management systems (BMS) are the most appropriate solution for complying with the BACS decree. The BMS must be class A or B according to NF EN ISO 52120-1:2022 (Energy performance of buildings – Contribution from building automation, control and management systems).
The equipment concerned by décret BACS is heating, air conditioning and ventilation. Commercial buildings will then have to install a BMS (Building Management System) compliant with the decree for classes A and B, rather than classes C and D. The characteristics of each class are defined below.
