6. How can the initiative be financed?
To accelerate the rollout of ISO 50001, the French government has set up the PRO-SMEn program. This program awards a bonus to companies that implement an energy management system compliant with ISO 50001. The subsidy is granted once the company has obtained its certificate. The amount is equal to 20% of annual energy expenditure excluding VAT. It is capped at €40,000. The certificate can cover one or more sites. To obtain this subsidy, you must register, submit an application, and wait for payment.
