4. What are the steps to obtain certification?
One of the mandatory requirements for obtaining certification from an independent third-party certifier is to demonstrate continuous improvement in energy performance within the company. The EMS must therefore be reviewed regularly by management, who will assess its effectiveness and relevance. This review always represents the end of one cycle and, at the same time, the starting point for a new cycle. Now that this requirement has been met, let's look at the different stages involved in obtaining certification.
4.1 Documentary study
This can be done in person or remotely. The aim is to verify that the documented information is compliant and sufficient to declare that the EMS is eligible for certification.
