Some observers will object to the performative nature of this work, on the grounds that it is not backed up by examples of application. In fact, the subject is not so simple and does not lend itself well to this kind of judgment.

It's true that the approach detailed here is based on a fairly new vision of the problem. It does not favor the instrumentation that is currently applied to urban problems. All too often, it is the accumulation of quantitative indicators that governs the assessment of a situation.

But how logical is the choice of these measures? It's not enough to juxtapose and multiply factual data and compare them with "best practices".

If you think about it, this exercise is an illusion, because the urban environment is too contextualized to be reduced to a simple list of values.
