Climate Change
A global phenomenon of climate change caused primarily by human activities, particularly greenhouse gas emissions. It results in rising average temperatures, weather disturbances, and an increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events—such as heat waves, storms, and floods—depending on the region.
Physical Climate Risk
Direct effects of climate change on infrastructure (storms, heat waves, floods, wet snow, etc.). These events can damage power grids and disrupt the continuity of power supply.
Transition Risk
Risks associated with the transition to a low-carbon economy (new regulations, technologies, societal expectations, or changes in consumption patterns). These risks require structural adaptation of the networks.
