As mentioned in this issue, the main lever for knowledge management within organizations is human capital. While platforms (hardware and software) can greatly facilitate knowledge management, they are only tools at the service of employees. As employee involvement in knowledge management projects is of paramount importance, it is important to think along with the communities evolving within the organization, and to offer them the tools they really need, according to the different stages of their development.
