 INTRODUCTION

The content of an environmental permit application is defined by regulations and comprises several parts, including the hazard study.

The content of the ED, defined in article D. 181-15-1 III of the French Environment Code, includes a non-technical summary (RNT), as for the impact study (EI). The NTS is one of the most frequently consulted documents in public inquiries organized to enable the public (i.e. the general public, associations and anyone interested in the project) to become acquainted with the elements of a project.

The non-technical summary is published on the website of the prefecture concerned, along with the non-technical summary of the impact study, at the same time as the notice of inquiry.
