5. Make the quality policy available

A document is only as good as the people who read it, isn't it? This also applies to a company's quality policy, and begins with the distribution, availability and presentation of the document.

Although quality policy is very often posted individually or included in a document such as a quality manual, it is less common for managers to present it to their teams.

We can only recommend this presentation, as the content of quality policies, covering subjects across the entire company spectrum (strategic, organizational and operational), often needs to be explained by those who are responsible for these subjects: top management and managers in the first instance.
