4. Drafting the quality policy
As mentioned above, the editor produces the draft quality policy on behalf of management (narrator).
It is advisable to present the quality policy as close as possible to the company's reality, so that it is as widely understood as possible. Employees are, and remain, the main recipients of the document.
The wording and style should be sober, clear and precise. The content of the quality policy should also be consistent with the management style and culture of the company. For example, in a highly collaborative company, it would be appropriate to highlight and promote employee participation and consultation. On the other hand, if these approaches are rare within the company, there's no need to make them appear so in the quality policy.
