5. Use and improve your indicators

Exploiting indicators means analyzing them, at the relevant levels, and if necessary deducing needs and improvement actions to enhance performance.

By using them, you can also evaluate the quality criteria specific to the indicators, such as :

  • easy to calculate ;

  • ease of understanding ;

  • reliability of the source data used to produce the results ;

  • sensitivity to actual performance ;

  • consistency with corporate objectives.

In general, despite the care taken in defining them, not all indicators prove to be relevant. Over time, you'll probably have to modify, evolve or change them.
