 INTRODUCTION

Together with the HR department, you'll be responsible for managing employees' multi-skilling and multi-skilling to meet the company's fluctuating needs and limit the risk of sudden loss of skills.

From the point of view of human resources management, ISO 9001 expects, in Chapter 6.2, that the skills needed to carry out activities affecting product/service conformity are identified, and that companies take appropriate action to meet these skill requirements.

In the context of single-skill risk prevention, it is strongly recommended to develop multi-skilling and multi-skilling of personnel. Implementing such an approach raises many questions, which this fact sheet answers:

  • How to go about it, what method to use?

  • What skills should you work on?

  • How do you define the expected skill level?

  • What to do with the results?
