 INTRODUCTION

ISO 22000, published in 2005, is the first international standard to set out the requirements for a management system specific to a professional sector, the agri-food industry.

This standard has been established to be compatible with and complement the requirements of the generic standard, ISO 9001, Quality Management System, applicable to all business sectors.

Complementarity and compatibility will be reinforced between the future 2018 version and ISO 9001 version 2015.

This sheet presents ISO 22000 requirements that complement or exceed ISO 9001 requirements.
