Think about what introduces uncertainty into the result.

3.1 External factors

They stem from the context and the stakeholders involved. You can draw inspiration from the PESTEL analysis, which suggests examining six areas of influence:

  • policies: (public, economic, social...) ;

  • economic: competitors' prices, customers' purchasing power... ; costs of raw materials, energy, labor... ;

  • socio-cultural: the impact of your product or service on customers' practices, lifestyles, customs, beliefs or values;

  • technology: competing technologies, risks of obsolescence, difficulties of integration by customers ;
