7.1 Take into account all changes in customer and legal requirements

Purchasing is a central process within the organization, since customer satisfaction and compliance with objectives (notably costs, quality and deadlines) depend on its control and performance.

Customers are, first of all, internal (production and logistics in particular) and then, of course, external (the organization's customers).

It's essential to anticipate these developments, so as to seek out current or future suppliers. And here too, it's important to keep an eye on developments in terms of product or service offerings.
