5. Our advice

In many cases, it can be useful to implement quick wins right away, even if the economic stakes are low: this has a pedagogical effect, enables the methods adopted to be tested, and serves as a motivating example.

Whatever method you choose, aim to involve as many people as possible in the process. This contributes to quality awareness, gathers good ideas about the problem in hand and, often, identifies previously unidentified areas of non-quality.

In the same spirit, it's a good idea for the personal objectives of as many people as possible to include areas for quality improvement and cost reduction, to be achieved collectively or individually.
