When can I be exempted from the obligation to keep a register?

Certain companies may be exempt from this obligation if the recovery and disposal of their waste, taking into account the quantities and characteristics of the waste, are not likely to harm human health or the environment.

A decree will have to be issued exempting these companies from keeping this register. Cf. article R. 541-43 of Code de l’environnement .

Can there be several registers?

Yes, if you receive and ship waste, you will need to keep two registers: one for outgoing waste, one for incoming waste. This is the case for operators of transit and consolidation facilities, and some treatment...
