1. Identify stakeholders
There are many players involved in a project:
the customer, the project owner, the client, the recipient... are those who request, pay for, use or decide to stop the project;
the project manager, prime contractor, project director, project coordinator are those who manage and steer the project;
The project team is made up of project participants, service providers and consultants.
You need to define everyone's roles from the outset and throughout the project: who's in charge? Who are the permanent players, the one-off experts, the partners, the communications manager...?
