1. Defining the context, establishing a framework to determine the needs of stakeholders

Defining stakeholder needs is the very first sub-process contributing to the "accountability" process, itself integrated into the "project communication" process. It is generally recurrent and constant over time. First and foremost, there are a number of prerequisites.

  • Fit into a coherent overall picture (aligned with corporate strategy): are needs consistent with corporate strategy and project objectives?

  • Respect the company's and/or project's communication plan: what communication actions are being undertaken to meet other needs already identified? If no communication plan has been defined, this is an opportunity to create one.

  • Determine the objective of each communication action and each message to be conveyed: Why report? For what purpose?
