3.1 PRINCE2 components (or themes)
PRINCE2 completes each process with eight components: the business case model (see Glossary), organization, plans, controls, risk management, quality management, configuration management and change management. The components are associated with detailed models in the appendix to the PRINCE2 Reference Manual.
"Components" is the original term. Since version 2009, it has tended to be replaced by "themes".
