The purpose of progress meetings is to explore and plan alternative solutions, while visualizing the project's progress:
Take stock of the project situation (project status and variance calculations) ;
analyze causes of deviation ;
propose action plans (correction, adaptation, new alternatives, etc.) to remedy the situation, or even modification requests to be filled in later for decision;
plan the remaining work and the continuation (of the phase, and of the project).
