Project control and steering processes include :

• measuring progress ;

• progress reports.

Intended for the steering committee, these periodic project progress reports are intended to provide stakeholders with the necessary information on the status of the project and its progress through to completion. Providing a basis for processing requests for changes and modifications, these documents are in fact an essential aid in making decisions about the continuation of the project.

The progress report submitted by the project manager is usually sent on a monthly basis:
