1. What's in a project portfolio?

This is a set of projects and/or programs that the organization has chosen to group together in order to manage them globally; these projects and programs may be linked for various reasons, independent or otherwise.

  • They are all part of the same functional unit.

  • They concern the same entity.

  • They compete for the same resources.

The basic idea is that managing their interactions will enable us to constantly optimize the whole, regardless of :

  • the stage of completion of each project or program included in the portfolio;

  • any changes that may occur in the way they are carried out;
