2. Gathering ideas
An online tool is certainly the best way to effectively capture employee ideas. The idea, when described by the employee, must have a minimum of structure:
description of the problem the idea seeks to solve ;
idea description ;
description of existing solutions, if known ;
legitimacy to work on this subject;
description of a potential business model that could be implemented.
These points don't have to be very elaborate. It is, however, important to put the originator of the idea in a perspective of going beyond the mere expression of an idea.
