It's a question of trying to control the future so as to avoid having to predict it... Here again, we're faced with the opposite logic to most mature organizations, which will spend a lot of energy trying to predict the future.

The intrapreneur, like the entrepreneur, can't control the world, but he can take local action in his environment, especially with his customers. Rather than trying to predict what customers might or might not do, build on your own convictions. Put action before analysis, and change will happen!

The difficulty for the intrapreneur lies in deciding between :

  • be totally transparent with internal contacts, at the risk of having to respond to many requests for analysis;

  • take a more independent stance, build your own future and act without...
