4. Taking advantage of surprises
"If you can find a lemon, sell lemonade!
The ability to detect surprises and take advantage of them is a characteristic shared by both the entrepreneur and the intrapreneur. And in both cases, this characteristic can prove key to the adventure. It can lead to a "pivot", i.e. a change of direction.
A lemon can also be an opportunity to sell and give credibility to the venture, both through an income that may be modest at the outset, but one that gives you an idea of the value of your idea. Selling also means setting up administrative processes (making an invoice, shipping, receiving, getting paid, collecting...), and this will also be a source of learning.
The intrapreneur's challenge lies in explaining this potential change of direction internally. Here again, logic is at odds with classic causal reasoning. Exploration...
