4. Monitor the effectiveness of your business intelligence approach

The business intelligence approach must not escape the evaluation and adjustment processes within a company.

Although it can be tricky to put a figure on the performance of your business intelligence system, this should not call into question the attention you should pay to its performance:

  • account for the resources allocated in time and means to business intelligence. And if you keep cost accounting, create a dedicated allocation key;

  • periodically, list your areas for improvement and at the end of each period, note your progress;
