2. Structuring business intelligence management

Business intelligence is a cross-functional area within a company, touching on many different professions and key corporate functions, such as information systems management.

The structuring of business intelligence must absolutely take into account the hierarchical and functional structure of a company at the start of the project.

Whatever the case, structuring business intelligence requires the choice of a conductor, a sponsor, capable of coordinating the various departments involved.

In fact, although it may seem utopian, the project manager or business intelligence manager should report directly to senior management. Otherwise, it will be more a question of monitoring than business intelligence.
