INTRODUCTION
The purpose of procedures is to describe the activities of a process, in order to guarantee that these activities are carried out correctly, and thus contribute to achieving the objectives of the process. They are a traditional element of management system documentation.
A procedure must provide the people for whom it is intended with the information they need to perform an action or set of actions correctly. It must therefore be :
simple ;
concise ;
adapted to its recipients;
properly structured.
Whether your company's management system is already in place, or you're in charge of setting it up, you'll need to write, have written or review procedures. This fact sheet will help you design effective, operational procedures.
