7. Adapting to the environment

To properly define a device, we remind you of a few fundamental points to specify:

• water-tightness, dust-tightness, impact resistance ;

• tropicalization ;

• marine atmospheres ;

• corrosive atmospheres ;

• weather resistance ;

• sand wind tightness ;

• minimum and maximum external temperatures ;

• explosive and/or flammable atmospheres ;

• insensitivity to electromagnetic waves ;

• shock, vibration and earthquake resistance.
