Devices used to measure electrical currents are called "ammeters". There are two main categories of ammeters: analog and digital. It should be noted that both generally have functions enabling them to measure other electrical quantities such as voltage, resistance... hence their name "multimeters". In this article, we'll concentrate on the ammeter function.
