 INTRODUCTION

The procedure for examining an application for authorization to operate (DAE) a facility classified for environmental protection (ICPE) is long and complex. Before responding to a request, the prefect gathers the opinions of numerous stakeholders.

  • Who are these players?

  • Why are there so many of them?

  • Is the timing of the various stages important?

Knowing and understanding these steps is the key to a successful procedure and outcome.

The different stages in the authorization procedure are essentially justified by the large number of topics covered in the application for authorization to operate (DAE).

Here's a detailed description of the various stages of the appraisal procedure, from submission of the application to issuance of the prefectoral decree (AP).
