5. Case study

5.1 Context

An animal by-products processing and recovery center (rendering plant) wishes to increase its operating capacity and make certain modifications to its facility. To do so, it must submit an application for authorization to operate (DAE), including an assessment of the olfactory impact of the future facility.

An atmospheric odor dispersion study would appear to be the most appropriate way of addressing this issue.

the atmospheric dispersion modeling study here meets regulatory requirements and, more specifically, the sectoral decree of February 12, 2003 applicable to ICPEs subject to authorization under heading 2730 (treatment of cadavers, waste or by-products of animal origin...)...
