Various techniques can be used to quantify nitrous oxide flows. The measurement strategy will vary according to whether the sources under study are large or small, diffuse or localized.
3.1 Emissions from stationary sources
For stationary sources, please refer to the following standard: Afnor XP X 43-305.
This method samples a gas flowing through a pipe (chimney type) to determine the nitrous oxide flows passing through it. Two types of container can be used to store these gas samples.
