 INTRODUCTION

You want to carry out energy-saving work in your industrial premises and improve your company's eco-friendly image. The RE2020 environmental regulations, which came into force in 2023 for new industrial buildings, and Article R172-10-1 of Decree No. 2021-1004 of July 29, 2021, provide the means to carry out this project. But where to start?

In order to effectively carry out the energy renovation required to meet these standards, this guide has been structured around the following topics:

  • identify and measure the main sources of heat loss;

  • list the work to be done;

  • assess the costs of the work and seek grants and financing;

  • initiate and monitor the work;

  • accept the work.

The expected benefits are threefold: energy efficiency, decarbonization of energy consumption, and guaranteed comfort in winter and during periods of high temperatures in summer.

This practical guide has been updated to reflect the extension of the law, which now applies to new industrial buildings.
