The Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) is a national inventory :
potentially hazardous chemicals and/or pollutants released into the air, water and soil;
production and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
The basic components are as follows:
a list of relevant chemicals, families of chemicals or other pollutants and wastes that are released into the environment or transferred/treated off-site;
