There are several ways of classifying wires produced by wire drawing. We propose here a classification by market type:
Construction and building with concrete reinforcement, prestressing wire used in engineering structures (figure 2 ), metal fibers, welded wire mesh, spikes, wire mesh, etc..,
Agriculture with, of course, industrial springs, wire for trellising vines or fruit trees, fencing, etc,
Energy, with wires used for reinforcement in nuclear power plants, shaped wires for offshore pipe reinforcement, welding wires, saw wire for silicon rods used in solar panels,...
